The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning announced on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, that Yemen will experience a relative stabilization in weather conditions across various provinces in the coming hours.
In their latest weather bulletin, reviewed by Barran Press, the center indicated that mountainous regions are expected to feel chilly during the night and early morning hours, particularly in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda.
The forecast predicts that overnight temperatures on Thursday morning will drop to as low as 3°C in Dhamar, 4°C in Al-Bayda, Amran, and Saada, and 5°C in Sana'a.
The center also expects relatively cool conditions in the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Lahij, Abyan, Al-Jawf, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramaut, and Al-Mahrah, with the potential for mist or fog in some areas.
Coastal regions are forecasted to have mostly clear to partly cloudy skies, with light to moderate winds generally blowing at speeds of 15 to 25 knots, particularly active along the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, as well as in the Socotra Archipelago.
Additionally, desert areas are expected to see clear and relatively cool weather during the night and early morning, with light to moderate winds occasionally stirring up dust and sand.
