ADEN, Yemen — On January 4, 2025, Yemen's Minister of Public Health and Population, Qasim Buhaibeh, led a meeting to discuss preparations for the first-ever Health System Conference, scheduled to take place in the second half of February.
During the meeting held in Aden, the country's temporary capital, Buhaibeh reviewed the progress of the technical committees established for the conference. He assessed the completed tasks, gathered feedback, and assigned further responsibilities to ensure the successful execution of the event.
According to the official Saba news agency, the conference will involve participation from both public and private health sectors, as well as international organizations. It will feature scientific workshops and a health exhibition, with contributions from various health and medical institutions and companies.
Buhaibeh emphasized that the conference aims to establish a comprehensive vision for diagnosis, treatment, and recommendations for the health system, moving from relief efforts to development and peace.
He underscored the importance of teamwork in achieving national objectives and enhancing the health sector, stressing the need for all committees to complete their tasks promptly.
