Puntland security forces have seized a boat carrying military equipment, suspected to have originated from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.
The Puntland Counter-Terrorism Command confirmed on Wednesday the interception of the vessel in the Gao area of the Bosaso district. The crew, all Somali nationals, have been detained for questioning.

Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the boat's cargo and the individuals involved. The operation comes as Somalia continues its campaign against terrorist groups.

The incident follows reports of collaboration between the Houthis and Al-Shabaab, including allegations of arms smuggling and intelligence sharing, which have been corroborated by the UN Panel of Experts on Yemen.
