The Yemeni army repelled an attack by Iran-backed Houthi militants on the Al-Tashrifat camp near Taiz’s eastern gateway, military officials reported.
Intense clashes erupted as Houthi fighters attempted to infiltrate army-held positions, forcing a temporary closure of the eastern gateway leading to Al-Houban, which remains under Houthi control. The confrontation involved light to medium weaponry.
The Taiz Military Axis later announced the reopening of the gateway, attributing the brief closure to the Houthi hostilities. According to a statement, the clashes resulted in the deaths of four Houthi militants and injuries to others.
