Drug Den Busted in Hadhramaut, Four Arrested in Security Raid

Security forces in Hadhramaut Province, eastern Yemen, announced the arrest of four individuals, including a woman, on Friday, April 11, 2025, following a raid on a drug den in Mukalla. The operation resulted in the seizure of a quantity of the narcotic substance "Shabu."


According to an official statement obtained by Barran Press, Mukalla police conducted a "highly specialized" raid at 5 a.m. on a house in the "Rokub" area, based on credible intelligence from the "Dis" and "Rokub" police stations. The house was reportedly being used as a hub for drug promotion and distribution.

Theoperation led to the arrest of (H.M.B.), identified as a prominent Shabu distributor in the region, and the confiscation of cash, multiple mobile phones, and a stolen motorcycle. The raid involved Mukalla's security forces, Riot Police, military units, and the women's police division, ensuring the suspects' apprehension without resistance or casualties.
In a separate incident on Tuesday evening, Qusay'r police arrested a 40-year-old individual in eastern Hadhramaut for Shabu possession. Police Chief Major Adel Al-Namouri confirmed the arrest during a mobile patrol, and the suspect has been referred to the Public Prosecutor.
