An unexploded projectile, a remnant of the conflict with the Houthi group, seriously injured a civilian today in Al-Faw area of Yemen's northeastern Marib governorate, according to security sources.

Marib police, in a statement seen by "Bran Press," identified the injured individual as 30-year-old Ali Abdullah Mohammed Al-Humaidi. He sustained severe injuries when the projectile detonated while he was cutting trees in the Al-Faw valley. Al-Humaidi was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

This incident followed another tragedy reported last Friday in Marib. Local sources confirmed to "Bran Press" that an eight-year-old child, Yahya Maqbool Murshid Al-Bukhaikh, succumbed to his wounds on Thursday evening after being severely injured by an unexploded ordnance. The child was playing with a group of other children in the Al-Manin area, south of the city, when the device exploded.
