A massive protest in the city of Marib (northeastern Yemen) on Friday, June 28th, 2024, demanded that the internationally recognized Yemeni government "ban the import of all goods from countries and companies supporting the occupying Zionist entity."
The protest, which saw thousands of citizens participate, called on "the Yemeni people and all free peoples to boycott products and goods exported by the Zionist entity and the countries, companies, and brands that support it."
Participants in the protest, held in the center of Marib after Friday prayers, affirmed their strong support for the Palestinian people, who have been subjected to a "genocidal war" by the Israeli occupation for the ninth consecutive month.
The protest statement called on the international community and all influential countries to "force the fascist occupation to stop its war against the Palestinians." They demanded that the US administration "halt its support for the genocidal war against the people of the Gaza Strip, lift its cover for the occupation and its crimes, making Washington a key partner in its perpetration."
The statement, a copy of which was received by "Barran Press," condemned "the continuation of the crime of genocide in Gaza" and denounced "the world's silence in the face of the worst crime a people has faced throughout history."
Participants in the solidarity protest called on "all free peoples to raise the level of support, solidarity, and continued assistance for the Palestinian people and their just cause."
They appealed to the global conscience, its institutions, organizations, and bodies, to raise their voices against the widening crime of starvation, which the Israeli occupation and the US administration are using as a pressure tactic to achieve political goals.
They urged everyone to "mobilize resources, provide humanitarian and relief aid, and stand with the Palestinian people in their current ordeal, in the face of the suffocating siege and the rapidly escalating famine."
For the ninth consecutive month, the city of Marib has witnessed solidarity events with the Palestinian people and the brutal and devastating war they are facing from the Israeli occupation, with unprecedented Western and American support.
These protest rallies are attended by hundreds of citizens from various social and political groups, civil society organizations, university students, and students from scientific institutions.
