A Houthi militant, identified as Abdullah Ismail Sanjari, has been accused of brutally murdering his ex-wife and her parents in a shocking incident in the Bajil district of Hodeidah governorate, Yemen.

According to local sources, Sanjari, who had divorced his wife just two days prior, stormed her family's home in the village of Al-Frideliyah in Bajil east of Hodeida on Monday, July 1st, 2024. He allegedly slaughtered his ex-wife with a butcher knife before fatally shooting her father, Ahmed Mohammed Yahya Dahib, and her mother.

The sources reported that the crime sparked widespread fear and condemnation within the community, with many describing it as a horrifying and unprecedented act in Yemeni society.

The incident is the latest in a disturbing trend of family murders in areas controlled by the Houthi group, which is designated as a terrorist organization by several countries.
