Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, emphasized the crucial role of joint operations in unifying the efforts of different military components to achieve victory against the Houthi group, internationally designated as a terrorist organization. He described the Houthi project as a sectarian one backed by Iran, aiming to destabilize Yemen, the region, and the world.

During a meeting with the Joint Operations Command in Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen, Prime Minister bin Mubarak discussed the progress and achievements of the command in unifying national efforts against the Houthis. He received briefings from Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen al-Da'eri and the head of the Joint Operations Command, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, on the command's operations and future plans.

Bin Mubarak expressed his pride in every soldier, officer, and resistance fighter on the frontlines, highlighting the high combat readiness of the armed forces and their unwavering defense against the Houthis. He reiterated that peace, stability, and development remain the government's priorities, contrasting them with the Houthis' project of death and destruction targeting everyone.

He emphasized the importance of relying on the armed forces, security agencies, and resistance fighters in combating the Houthi project, assuring that the government, under the direction of the political leadership, will spare no effort in providing resources to enhance the Joint Operations Command's performance.

In a related visit, Prime Minister bin Mubarak inspected the administrative military base in the Tawhi district of Aden, reviewing the services provided to the armed forces in the areas of supply, logistics, and administration. He stressed the importance of streamlining administrative work for combat units, ensuring transparent supply and logistics, and automating processes to improve service delivery to military personnel.

He also visited the tailoring and clothing factory belonging to the supply and logistics department, observing its production capacity and its employment of young men and women, including relatives of martyrs and wounded soldiers. He directed the expansion and improvement of the factory's production to meet the needs of the military and security forces for clothing and other equipment.

Bin Mubarak also visited the Ba Sahib Military Hospital in Aden, assessing its services and the improvements made since its rehabilitation. He directed the provision of essential medical equipment to enhance the hospital's services, one of the oldest in the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf region. He also called for the reactivation of medical missions and campaigns.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the expansion, improvement, and development of the hospital as part of its focus on improving the healthcare sector. He reiterated the government's dedication to caring for the wounded in the fight against the Houthi insurgency.
