The construction of a new isolation center at the General Hospital in Marib, Yemen, began on Sunday, July 14, 2024, with a groundbreaking ceremony led by Marib Governor's Deputy, Abdulrabah Muftah. The project is funded by the KAAF Foundation of Bahrain and will be implemented by the Hittin Charitable Development Foundation.

The isolation center, estimated to cost $71,000, will significantly enhance the hospital's capacity to handle infectious diseases. It is expected to play a crucial role in providing medical services to over three million displaced individuals and residents of the region.

During the ceremony, Muftah emphasized the importance of the isolation center, highlighting the General Hospital's vital role in providing healthcare services to a large population. He expressed hope that the project would elevate the quality of healthcare interventions in Marib and contribute to the modernization and development of the province's healthcare infrastructure.

The construction of the isolation center is a testament to the ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare services in Yemen, particularly in regions affected by the ongoing conflict. The project is funded by the KAAF Foundation of Bahrain, demonstrating the commitment of international organizations to supporting healthcare initiatives in conflict-affected areas.
