Two young girls died in separate incidents in the Ain district of Shabwah Governorate (eastern Yemen) on Friday, August 23, 2024, according to local sources.

Sources told "Barran Press" in Shabwah that the child, "Shouq Abdullah Awad Qalan," died as a result of an electrical shock in her family's home in the village of "Al-Minakh" in the Ain district (northwest Shabwah).

The sources also stated that another child, "Khulood Zaban Allah Abdullah," died when a wall collapsed on her inside her family's home in the same district.

Last week, the three-year-old daughter of Adnan Salem Saleh Al-Muslami died by drowning in the floodwaters of the Ain Valley in the Ain district.

These tragic incidents highlight the ongoing dangers faced by children in Yemen, particularly in rural areas where basic infrastructure and safety measures are often lacking.
