On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Sultan Al-Arada, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib urged all political forces and social components to unite under the banner of the 26 September Revolution and strengthen national cohesion against what he termed the "new imams."

Speaking at a cultural event in Marib celebrating the 62nd anniversary of the revolution, Al-Arada warned against ongoing political disputes, party rivalries, and the revival of past conflicts. He emphasized the need to correct the political course and promote responsible media discourse while committing to a national code of honor that ensures a safe and equitable future for all.

He reaffirmed the significance of preserving the objectives of the September and October revolutions, expressing gratitude for the sacrifices made by the armed forces and the popular resistance in defending the country and its republican values.

Al-Arada asserted that the principles of these revolutions represent a national legacy that must be defended, stating, "Anyone who believes that the Yemeni people will relinquish their gains or forget the sacrifices of their heroes is destined to fail."

He criticized the new form of imamate supported by Iran, claiming it would not withstand the will of the Yemeni people. He attributed the suffering of the population to distractions caused by political infighting and personal interests, which have enabled Houthi militias to undermine the nation.

The governor also called on the government to intensify efforts to meet citizens' basic needs and take effective steps to improve economic and living conditions. He expressed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to halt economic decline and implement sustainable solutions to enhance the current situation.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council Abdullah Abu Al-Ghaith, and various ministers and members of the legislative councils, alongside military and civil leaders and community figures.
