On Monday, September 30, 2024, Sultan Al-Aradah, a member of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, attended the graduation ceremony for the third cohort of specialized training courses for the Operations Authority in Marib, northeastern Yemen. The courses included training for armored brigade leaders, drone pilots, military engineering, and cybersecurity.

In his address, which was also attended by Interior Minister Ibrahim Haidan and Information Minister Muammar Al-Eryani, Al-Aradah emphasized that modern warfare has evolved beyond reliance on physical strength and traditional military hardware. He stated, "The shift from conventional methods to modern techniques is a pressing necessity in light of the rapid technological advancements we are witnessing today," according to the Yemen News Agency, Saba.

Al-Aradah urged the graduates to leverage modern electronic warfare tools, invest in technology, and encourage innovation to ensure military superiority. He highlighted the importance of developing military systems and strategies that align with future warfare challenges, ranging from advanced electronic systems to drones, smart weapons, and cybersecurity. He conveyed the greetings of the Presidential Council's president and members, wishing the graduates success in their national duties.

Expressing pride in the graduates, Al-Aradah remarked that they represent the elite of the nation who have completed their military training with distinction. He hopes that the skills and knowledge they have acquired will serve as a foundation for their future roles within the armed forces and security agencies, enabling them to fulfill their duties with high professionalism.

He stated, "Building a strong national army is fundamental to the stability of the state, the restoration of its hijacked institutions, and addressing various challenges." He underscored the need for ongoing training and qualification for armed forces personnel, advocating for modern training principles that enhance their capabilities and skills in utilizing advanced weaponry and technology.

Al-Aradah noted that the training period is not merely theoretical preparation but a vital time for instilling a warrior's mindset, reinforcing national values, and enhancing a sense of responsibility. He stressed that true strength comes not from weapons and equipment but from discipline, commitment, and loyalty to God and the nation.

Addressing the military, he said, "You have been and continue to be the safety valve of Yemen, demonstrating unwavering loyalty and courage in defending the homeland. You have always stood at the frontlines, sacrificing greatly to keep Yemen's banner flying high in the skies of dignity, freedom, and honor."

He continued, "The nation relies on you and your peers, placing its hopes in your hands. Continue your journey with unwavering determination, remembering that every effort you make to protect the homeland and enhance its security is a sacred duty."

Additionally, Major General Khaled Al-Ashoul, head of the Operations Authority in the Yemeni army, explained that these courses are part of the authority's commitment to specialized training and qualification for leaders, officers, and personnel, aimed at enhancing their professional skills and preparing them for future missions in the fight to restore the republic and uphold the principles of the Yemeni revolution of September 26 and October 14.
