Local sources reported that a citizen was killed by an armed assailant in Taiz, located in southwestern Yemen.

According to sources speaking to Barran Press, the victim, identified as Mohammed Fadl Al-Shahri, was shot multiple times by a gunman in the village of Al-Safra in the Mawiyah district. The assailant reportedly used an automatic Kalashnikov rifle before fleeing to an unknown location.

The sources indicated that the gunman shot Al-Shahri in the neck and head, leading to his death while he was being transported to the hospital for medical assistance.

Al-Shahri's family has kept his body in the hospital's morgue in Mawiyah, demanding that security forces pursue the perpetrator, apprehend him, and bring him to justice.
