Dr. Ahmed Al-Mu’allim Elected as President of Yemeni Scholars Association

The Yemeni Scholars Association announced on Friday, October 25, 2024, the election of Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Mu’allim as its new president, succeeding the late Sheikh Abdul Majid bin Aziz Al-Zandani.

In a statement received by Bran Press, the association explained that the decision followed a series of meetings and consultations conducted by the supervisory committee to organize the association's leadership.

Additionally, the committee appointed Aref Al-Sabri and Mohammed bin Mousa Al-Amri as vice presidents. The supervisory committee expressed its best wishes for the new leadership as they embark on their upcoming responsibilities.

Sheikh Abdul Majid Al-Zandani passed away on April 22, 2024, in a hospital in Istanbul at the age of 82. He was the founder of the Yemeni Scholars Association, established in 2010, and served as its president until his death.
