On November 5, 2024, Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Awdh Bin Mubarak expressed his support for the newly launched National Coalition of political parties opposing the Houthi movement, designated as a terrorist organization by international listings. The coalition was inaugurated in Aden, Yemen's temporary capital.

During his remarks at the coalition's unveiling, Bin Mubarak described it as “a new voice, a renewed vision, and a constructive tool for change in our beloved homeland.” He highlighted the coalition's role in consolidating efforts to rescue Yemen from the grip of the Houthi militia.

Bin Mubarak conveyed the government's full openness to positively engage with this national effort, emphasizing the need to unify forces to restore the state, defeat the coup, and achieve peace—outcomes that would significantly alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

He asserted, “We believe that Yemen deserves to be at the forefront of nations and to hold a respectable position on the regional and international stage. We all share a common goal: to build a Yemen that guarantees justice, freedom, and equality for all its citizens.”

The Prime Minister underscored the necessity of concerted efforts within a comprehensive national vision aimed at achieving stability, enhancing sovereignty, and building a unified and strong federal Yemen.

Addressing the challenges facing the country, he acknowledged that the path ahead would not be easy but expressed confidence that a deep belief in their cause and the will of the Yemeni people could lead to meaningful change and a future worthy of future generations.

Bin Mubarak urged the unification of efforts to support state institutions in confronting the economic war waged by the Houthis, protecting the national economy, and alleviating the burdens faced by citizens due to this unjust conflict.

He also touched on the government’s serious and determined efforts to combat corruption, recognizing it as one of the biggest obstacles to development and stability in Yemen. He affirmed that fighting corruption is a top priority for the government.

Earlier that day, the National Coalition, led by Dr. Ahmed Ben Dagher and comprising over 21 political parties, was officially announced. The coalition committed to upholding the constitution, existing laws, and agreed national, regional, and international references, alongside principles of political pluralism, peaceful power transfer, justice, equal citizenship, consensus, partnership, and transparency.

In its statement, the coalition outlined a political program aimed at several objectives, including the restoration of the state, unification of national forces to confront rebellion, and resolution of the Southern issue as a key aspect of addressing national challenges.
