The Yemeni Islah Party declared on November 5, 2024, that the announcement of the National Coalition of Political Parties and Groups opposing the Iran-aligned Houthi movement is a "key to the long-sought solution" to the country's ongoing crisis.

Adnan Al-Odaini, the party's spokesperson, stated that the unity demonstrated in Aden marks a significant step in the right direction. He emphasized that this coalition not only responds to the immediate needs of the moment but also serves as a potential solution for restoring the state, which has been under threat.

In a post on the social media platform X, seen by Barran Press, Al-Odaini noted that the current political landscape in Yemen has long required the unification of efforts toward the common goal of reclaiming the state. He expressed confidence that the political path being taken will lead to solutions for existing problems and will not create new issues, unlike other options.

The National Coalition, officially launched in Aden, includes 21 political parties and groups, with Dr. Ahmed Bin Daghr elected as its rotating president. The coalition reaffirmed its commitment to the Constitution and the rule of law, advocating for political plurality, justice, partnership, and transparency. It outlined 11 objectives, including the restoration of the state, unifying forces to confront rebellion, and resolving the southern issue.

While the Southern Transitional Council and its supporters opposed the coalition's formation, it received a warm welcome from the internationally recognized Yemeni government and various supportive political entities, garnering significant positive reactions on social media from politicians, writers, and activists.
