Taiz, Yemen – On Saturday, November 23, 2024, military sources reported that the Yemeni army successfully thwarted an attack by Houthi militants, who are internationally classified as a terrorist group, targeting military positions in the Al-Kadha sector, located in western Taiz Governorate.
According to the National Resistance media, stationed along the western coast, military units engaged in combat with Houthi forces using various weapons after the group attempted to launch an offensive and infiltrate strategic hills near the front lines.
The sources indicated that the Yemeni forces were well-prepared and inflicted significant casualties and material losses on the militias, forcing them to retreat.
Recent weeks have seen similar clashes in the Al-Kadha sector, all of which ended in failure for the Houthi assaults, resulting in further losses for the group.
Fighting in Taiz has been sporadic between the Yemeni army and Houthi forces since the end of the declared truce on October 2, 2022.
