Yemeni armed forces successfully repelled a large-scale offensive launched by the Houthi militia, an internationally designated terrorist group, on military positions east of Taiz city on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

A military source informed "Bran Press" that the Houthi attack focused on the Aqabat Munif and Al-Zahraa neighborhoods, areas surrounding Taiz's eastern entrance. Government forces confronted and thwarted the assault after intense engagements.
Following the initial attack, armed clashes erupted between government forces and the Houthi militia in several locations around the entrance. Both sides utilized various types of weapons, with the Houthi group reportedly sustaining significant losses.
