The French ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Kammoun, affirmed on Thursday, July 11, 2024, her country's support for rebuilding institutions in Marib Governorate (northeastern Yemen) and other governorates to serve the Yemeni people.
Kammoun made the statement in a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), which was monitored by Bran Press. She said she had spoken with the member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan al-Arada.

"I was honored to speak today via video conference with a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, Sultan al-Arada," Kammoun wrote. "We reaffirmed France's support for the Presidential Leadership Council's efforts to rebuild institutions in Marib and other governorates to serve the Yemeni people."
As of the time of writing (10:48 PM), there has been no official comment from the member of the Presidential Leadership Council or the official Saba news agency regarding the communication.
