A solidarity rally held in the Yemeni city of Mar'ib on Friday, July 12, 2024, called upon the international community, the United Nations, various international organizations, and all free nations to exert effective pressure on the Israeli occupation and the US administration to stop the ongoing genocide and halt the bloodshed that has been flowing for nine consecutive months.

The rally, held in the heart of Mar'ib following Friday prayers, condemned the horrific massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against the people of the Gaza Strip in Palestine over the past three days.

A statement issued by the rally and obtained by Barran Press denounced the Israeli occupation's continued blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza, calling it a crime that deserves punishment and global condemnation in accordance with relevant international laws.

The statement highlighted that the Palestinian people, for the ninth consecutive month, remain steadfast in their valiant resistance despite facing a genocidal war, a punishment for their unwavering commitment to their land and the justice of their cause.

The statement described the situation in Gaza as a spectacle that has stripped away all the false masks of freedom, justice, and equality, exposing the hypocrisy of the slogans raised in international forums, including humanitarian organizations and international criminal courts.

The statement pointed out that the ongoing siege of Gaza is a harbinger of a humanitarian catastrophe and a historic famine that has already begun, with children dying of hunger and thirst in plain sight, captured by cameras and broadcast on satellite channels.

The statement renewed the call from the solidarity protesters in Mar'ib for the international community and all human rights organizations to take immediate action to force the occupation to allow the entry of aid without obstacles or crippling conditions.

The statement rejected and condemned the Israeli occupation's targeting of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), stating that no other organization is capable of fulfilling its role in providing relief to the Palestinian people. The statement emphasized that the elimination of UNRWA would mean the elimination of the Palestinian cause and the refugee issue.

The statement reiterated a firm rejection of the forced displacement plan being pursued by the occupation, particularly after the recent issuance of orders for residents of Gaza City to evacuate. The statement called upon Egypt and Jordan to escalate their stance against this plan, a stance they expressed early on in the conflict.

The rally participants called for anger demonstrations in all cities around the world to condemn the massacres, stop the genocidal war, and end the siege of Gaza. They extended their greetings to all supporters of the just Palestinian cause.

The statement welcomed the rise of new forces to power through elections in some European countries, forces that it said carry a clear agenda to support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

The statement expressed outrage at all statements regarding the day after the cessation of the war on Gaza and the proposal of foreign forces to maintain peace there, at a time when recognition of the Palestinian state is increasing unprecedentedly.

The statement commended the achievements of the resistance, which has cornered the Israeli army and pushed it to the brink of collapse, shattering all the illusions the enemy had created for itself over the decades.

For the ninth consecutive month, the city of Mar'ib has witnessed solidarity events with the Palestinian people and their suffering under the brutal and destructive war waged by the Israeli occupation with unprecedented American and Western support.

These protest rallies are attended by hundreds of citizens from various social and political segments, civil society organizations, university students, and students from scientific institutions.
