The Republic of Yemen on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, declared its full support for the measures taken by the relevant authorities in the Sultanate of Oman to preserve its security and stability following a shooting incident at a mosque in Wadi Al Kabir. The incident resulted in the death of a police officer, multiple fatalities, and injuries.
The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, expressed its "complete solidarity with the sisterly Sultanate of Oman," emphasizing its "rejection of all acts of violence."
The ministry extended its "deep condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured."
On Tuesday, the Oman News Agency reported a shooting incident in Muscat that resulted in the deaths of nine people, including a police officer and three "perpetrators," as well as injuries to 28 individuals, some of whom were foreigners. The incident is considered rare for the Gulf nation.
The rare terrorist attack has been widely condemned by Arab and Islamic countries, as well as by Arab organizations.
