Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi on Wednesday, July 24, congratulated the successful completion of the "Star of the Town" festival, held annually in the coastal region of Hadhramaut Governorate in southeastern Yemen.
During a phone call with Hadhramaut Governor Mabkhout bin Madi, al-Alimi praised the festival as a prime tourist destination, highlighting the unique natural phenomenon that draws visitors to the region.
According to the official Yemeni news agency Saba, al-Alimi received an update from the governor on the well-being of the people of Hadhramaut, as well as the coordinated efforts with government agencies to improve services and enhance security and stability in the governorate.
Bin Madi briefed the president on the overall situation in Hadhramaut, outlining the local authorities' efforts in security, service delivery, development, and alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the population.
Al-Alimi was informed about the solutions being implemented in the electricity sector and other essential services, despite the financial crisis caused by Houthi attacks on oil facilities, supported by the Iranian regime.
The president commended the people of Hadhramaut for their exemplary commitment to peace, their contribution to human civilization, their inspiring role in development and reconstruction, their respect for state institutions and the rule of law, and their promotion of a culture of coexistence and moderation throughout the world.
