The Director General of Marib Governorate Police (northeast Yemen), Yahya Hamid, on Sunday, July 28, 2024, stressed the importance of awareness and guidance programs in honing performance skills and boosting morale among security personnel.

Hamid made these remarks during the launch of awareness and guidance activities for the Moral Guidance Program for Marib Police, implemented by the General Directorate of Moral Guidance and Relations within the Ministry of Interior and its offices in liberated governorates, according to the Ministry of Interior's Media Center.

He stated that awareness and guidance programs are as crucial as fighting on the front lines, highlighting their role in strengthening national identity and allegiance, improving professional performance in the field. He emphasized the need for continuous programs to achieve desired goals.

The event included awareness lectures focusing on security-related topics, aiming to enhance security culture and ensure police personnel are well-versed in safe procedures during mission execution.

The lectures also addressed the impact of rumors on security performance, emphasizing the importance of combating them and avoiding their spread among police personnel, particularly in Marib, which serves as a frontline against the Houthi group, internationally designated as a terrorist organization. The Houthis are actively seeking to destabilize security and stability in Marib.
