The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning announced on Thursday, November 28, 2024, that five Yemeni provinces will experience cold temperatures in the coming hours, along with scattered rainfall in the northwest and southwest regions of the country.

In its daily report, reviewed by Barran Press, the center indicated that mountainous areas, particularly in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda, are expected to experience cold weather during the night and early morning. Additionally, relatively cold conditions are forecasted for the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Ibb, Al-Dhale’e, Lahij, Abyan, Al-Jawf, Shabwa, and Hadramout.

The center also noted that rain clouds are likely to form over parts of Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, western Dhamar, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, western Saada, and the highlands of Al-Hudaydah during the afternoon and evening.

Coastal areas are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather, with scattered rain in parts of the Tihama plain and the coasts of Taiz, Al-Hudaydah, and Hajjah. Moderate winds are anticipated, reaching speeds of up to 18 knots.

In desert regions, the weather is expected to remain stable, with clear skies that may feel relatively cool during the night and early morning. Moderate winds, occasionally strong, may reach speeds of 22 knots, stirring dust and reducing visibility.

The National Center for Meteorology has warned against exposure to cold weather in the mountainous areas, urging citizens to take necessary precautions, especially for children, school students, the elderly, and workers during the night and early morning hours.
