On December 26, 2024, Major General Sagheer bin Aziz, the Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Army, strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli airstrikes targeting Yemeni infrastructure. He held Houthi leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, classified as a terrorist by international lists, fully responsible for the devastation occurring in the country.

In a post on X (reviewed by Barran Press), bin Aziz described Al-Houthi as “the embodiment of evil” and the primary cause of Yemen’s suffering, stating that he is responsible for inviting Israeli forces to destroy Yemen and its people's property.

Earlier that day, Israeli aircraft launched airstrikes that targeted the area around the Dilmi Air Base and Sana’a International Airport, as well as the Hizez power station. Additional strikes also hit the port of Hodeidah and various energy and oil facilities.
