On December 29, 2024, four specialized media training courses were inaugurated at the University of Saba in Marib, aimed at enhancing the skills of 100 journalists, including students and graduates from the media department and professionals from various media institutions in the province.

Organized by the university's vice presidency for student affairs in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the initiative is funded by the Misan project for mine clearance in Yemen and will run for five days.

The courses cover essential topics including "Peace Journalism," "Digital Journalism," "Radio and Television Presentation," and "Podcast Production." The aim is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to elevate their competencies and enhance their professionalism, enabling them to leverage modern technologies for impactful and meaningful media content creation.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Ali Saif Al-Rimah, vice president of the university for student affairs, and Dr. Abdraba Muftah, deputy governor of Marib, emphasized the importance of these courses in developing journalists' skills in the information age.

They stressed the need to unify media voices and content to support the national effort to restore state institutions, end the Houthi group's destructive actions, and expose their criminal behaviors and human rights violations that have systematically devastated the nation politically, economically, socially, and culturally.

Dr. Nasser Aram, dean of the Faculty of Arts, noted that these courses are part of the university's efforts to expand partnerships with government institutions and the private sector, fulfilling the university's social and educational roles while outlining the significance and objectives of the programs.
